Relic

Project Challenge:

The Relic Museum is a conceptual solution towards climate change awareness. The design positions itself as an architectural symbol of resilience, survival, optimism, art and learning for the planet. Located in Cairo Egypt, it's use a material such as limestone ties in with a ancient structures that fill this land. This coupled with some of the geometric and modern elements distinguish the design into something truly unique.

Design Solution:

The Relic museum compound is broken down into several elements which include a main entry, three exhibition wings, colonnade court, interior and surface garden spaces, a tower and an event space. The diversity of program allow the complex to serve numerous functions from exhibitions, events, concerts, dining, leisurely retreat.

Key Features:

  • Expansive complex communicating grandeur.

  • The "room of worlds" event space provides flexibility for exhibition and event space.

  • Vertical and horizontal procession.

  • Emphasis on exhibition spaces that teach and showcase information to future generations.
